In alignment with these values, Healing Hive Therapy offers a range of fee options designed to support accessibility, including a standard self-pay rate, limited student-rate appointments, and sliding scale options for those navigating financial uncertainty. Standard Self Pay | $80
The standard fee for individual therapy is $80 per 50-minute session.
Healing Hive Therapy operates as a private-pay practice and does not accept insurance. This decision is intentional and reflects a commitment to prioritizing client choice, privacy, autonomy, and collaborative care.
Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis, treatment plans, and ongoing documentation that becomes part of your permanent medical record. They may also place limits on the number of sessions, influence treatment approaches, or require periodic reviews to determine whether services remain “medically necessary.” While these structures can be helpful in some contexts, they can also limit flexibility and may not always align with a client’s goals or pace of care.
By operating as a self-pay practice, Healing Hive Therapy is able to:

While Healing Hive Therapy does not bill insurance directly, superbills may be available upon request for clients who wish to pursue potential out-of-network reimbursement with their insurance provider.
Student Rate | Variable
Pursuing a degree often comes with a unique set of challenges. Students may find themselves navigating identity development, academic demands, life transitions, and financial pressures, often all at the same time. These experiences can be meaningful and transformative, but they can also bring uncertainty, stress, and the need for additional support.
In recognition of these challenges, Healing Hive Therapy offers a limited number of student rate appointments for individuals who are currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program.
Because these reduced-fee spots are limited, availability may vary. Proof of full-time enrollment will be required to qualify for this rate.
Sliding Scale Rate | Variable
Healing Hive Therapy recognizes that financial stability can be shaped by broader economic systems, including fluctuating job markets, rising costs of living, and unpredictable employment conditions. Navigating these realities can create stress and uncertainty, particularly for individuals and families working to maintain stability while managing everyday responsibilities.
In recognition of these challenges, sliding scale fees are available for individuals who receive government assistance or benefits. These reduced-fee spots are offered on a limited basis and are intended to support increased access to care for those navigating financial uncertainty.
Examples of qualifying government assistance may include, but are not limited to, programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, disability benefits, unemployment benefits, or other forms of public assistance.
